This hand-pieced cotton quilt top features a repeated eight-pointed star pattern. The stars are constructed from a diverse assortment of mid-20th-century scrap fabrics, including floral calicos, feedsack style prints, plaids, checks, and stripes, set against a white cotton ground.
The assembly is entirely hand-sewn, with visible stitching and raw seams on the reverse side. The variety of prints suggests a production date between the 1940s and 1960s.
